If you know me and have been following me for some time now, you’ll know that I’m a huge advocate for kids starting strength training early for various reasons.
Strength training for kids, when done properly and under supervision, can offer numerous benefits. Here are some key advantages:
Improved Physical Health 🏋️:
Increased Muscle Strength and Endurance: Helps in performing daily activities more easily and improves overall physical performance.
Enhanced Bone Density: Strength training can promote bone growth and increase bone density, which is critical during the growth spurts in childhood and adolescence.
Better Weight Management: Regular physical activity, including strength training, helps in maintaining a healthy weight by increasing muscle mass and metabolism.
Improved Motor Skills and Coordination 🏊️:
Strength training can enhance a child’s motor skills, balance, and coordination, contributing to better performance in sports and physical activities.
Reduced Risk of Injury 🤕:
Stronger muscles, tendons, and ligaments can help prevent injuries by providing better support to joints and improving overall body mechanics.
Enhanced Mental Health 🧠:
Increased Self-Esteem and Confidence: Achieving strength goals and mastering new exercises can boost a child's self-confidence and sense of accomplishment.
Reduced Anxiety and Depression: Physical activity, including strength training, is known to release endorphins, which can improve mood and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Long-Term Health Benefits 🏃:
Establishing healthy habits early in life can lead to a lifetime of good health. Children who engage in regular physical activity are more likely to continue exercising into adulthood.
Better Academic Performance 📚️:
Regular physical activity, including strength training, has been linked to improved concentration, memory, and classroom behavior, potentially leading to better academic performance.
Healthy Lifestyle Habits 🚴:
Engaging in strength training can teach children the importance of physical fitness and discipline, encouraging them to adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

I’ve never really been a fan of drugstore sunscreen and skincare products because it tends to dry out my already dry, swimmer skin.
Also, I’m not a fan of the smell of sunscreen.
But guess what? I FINALLY found Dermasport, a daily skincare and SPF that works well, doesn’t smell like your typical sunscreen lotions and aerosols, and hydrates my skin leaving it feeling refreshed, soft, and protected…
And I’m sharing that with YOU 🫶
As always, leave feedback by replying to this email. I love sharing the wealth of knowledge and I’m glad I get to share it with you!
Until next time,
Sandra
