5 Reasons You Want Me As Your Coach

Let’s jump right in, shall we?

1) I know what it’s like to be in the pool. As a former collegiate swimmer, I am very familiar with the path it takes to go from age-group swimming to an elite level of competition. The early mornings, daily training sessions, and the commitment it takes day in and day out…I’ve been there!

2) I know what it’s like to be injured. I’ve dealt with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, concussions, back pain, and a torn labrum which I underwent surgery for. I am familiar with pain and the impact that injury can have on a swimmer’s mental and physical performance.

3) I know what it takes to rehab. On a personal level (prior to becoming a PT), I became very familiar with athletic training rooms and physical therapy clinics. As an athlete I went through the process of rehab and recovery in order to stay in the pool. On a professional level, I am now a practicing Doctor of Physical Therapy who helps coach swimmers through rehab every single day. This is my arena and I will help you.

4) I know what it takes to coach. I’ve coached one-on-one and group lessons on everything from the basics to advanced swimming mechanics. Currently, I am involved as a coach for a competitive swim club and I am also one of the coaches for an NCAA Division 1 swim and dive program out in California. I have a lot of experience and this translates over to coaching my clients!

5) I want you to win. I am in this to help people just like you. All of my diverse experiences mean nothing if I don’t teach, educate, and empower other swimmers to be their best selves in and out of the pool. You are why I do all of this!
